Project Brief: d.r.i.f.t., dharamshala residential international festival for theatre, is a volunteer-run theatre community. I attended the 2024 festival, held in February, as a part of the photo and video documentation team. 

Deliverables were a silent film based on the community at d.r.i.f.t. and a collection of photos and videos from all events, workshops and open spaces. Themes of community, solidarity and joy formed the common thread that connected the festival. The concept behind the film is using stages of organising a theatre festival and drawing parallels with the process of painting the experience of a sunset at the venue. The film follows the making of d.r.i.f.t, from set-up and rehearsals to performances and reactions.
